Summary

Nombats are wombat-like food infused creatures. They come in varying sizes, usually the size of the food they are infused with. For example, an egg nombat would be about the size of an egg and a pumpkin nombat would be about the size of a pumpkin. The larger the nombat the lazier they are and the smaller the more active or energetic. Nombats tend to have the same roundish bodies, large noses, small beady eyes, and tiny ears with varying textures, tails, and food-based upper bodies. There are some nombats with exceptions to these tendencies but they are usually pretty rare.

Habitat

Nombats reside mostly in the kitchen where they are created. They can find other spots in the house where they prefer to reside too but as long as their owner is nearby they are bound to be happy no matter where they are. They can go outside but it's advised that the smaller nombats be supervised to keep them out of trouble. It is also important to keep them away from ants and crows because these creatures can cause injury to nombats.

Creation

Nombats were originally created when a master chef was experimenting with a brand new spice he had created. He sprinkled it onto his food but before he could eat it the roast sprang to life. His miracle spice soon gained much popularity and thus nombats were created. To make your own nombat you bake/make the food you'd like them infused with then once you've finished you sprinkle a packet of miracle spice on top, wait a few moments, and voila! You've got yourself a new foody companion! This new buddy never goes bad; once it has been brought to life it's body retains freshness.

Beware sprinkling the miracle spice on unfinished or burnt foods. Doing this can sometimes degrade the quality of life for your nombat. Like many other pets, nombats require patience and hard work. Do not rush the process, your nombats will appreciate your dedication!

Injury

Through unfortunate circumstances, nombats can become permanently injured. This is mostly due to negligent owners and many have to be re-homed to owners that will take better care of them. Some may have lost an arm or leg to crows. Some might be too burnt or unfinished because their creators were too impatient. Sometimes their injuries will require special care but most of the time injured nombats are just looking for a home that will love them despite their setback.

[take note, the majority of members will not be able to create injured nombats since that would indicate that you were the one neglecting them, but there will be adoptable injured nombats occasionally]

Diet

Nombats can eat anything, even the food they were made of. Nombats are self sustaining so they usually eat because they like the flavor of something not because they actually need it. Like other critters, they can develop preferences to different flavors!
